  • 2022-12-31Responding to the “coverage rate of 100% for financial knowledge promotion events by township/city/district in 2022” under the “Taiwan Financial Services Roundtable Phase VI Knowledge Popularization Promotional Program (2021 to 2023),” NCCC held 337 financial knowledge promotional events in a total of 253 regions among 368 townships/cities/districts.
  • 2022-12-31NCCC has reconstructed its backbone system with multiple layers of back-up protection mechanisms, so as to provide merchants with a higher quality processing network.
  • 2022-12-30Aiming to “create objective and credit-worthy benchmark indices for credit cards,” NCCC enrolled for the “Guided Pilot Project on Cross-domain Data Application Collaboration” organized by the Ministry of Digital Affairs.

  • 2022-12-20As instructed by FSC, NCCC invited all credit card institutions and international card associations to deliberate and build the “Auto-activated Mechanism to Waive Service Fees for Disaster Relief Donations.” The mechanism was approved by FSC and aimed to be implemented on April 1, 2023.
  • 2022-12-16The Taiwan Academy of Banking and Finance organized the “11th Taiwan Banking and Finance Best Practice Awards” in 2022; NCCC was one of the co-organizers, and NCCC Chairman participated in the award ceremony.
  • 2022-12-06Pursuant to resolutions of meetings regarding a competent authority’s project entitled “On Abnormal Transaction Pattern of Third-Party Payment Enterprise Who Processed Credit Card Transactions,” NCCC notified third-party payment enterprise of compliance matters in writing in the hope to jointly combat criminal activities.

  • 2022-12-01To increase the ratio of non-cash payment in Taiwan, NCCC has made its best endeavour Small Ticket Platform services to merchants. It signed a contract with 85°C Bakery Café, a coffee shop chain, to deploy terminals at more than 430 stores.

  • 2022-10-28NCCC was invited to attend “FinTech Taipei 2022,” of which, NCCC’s President took part in the opening ceremony and the international FinTech forum. The themes of NCCC’s exhibition stall included “NCCNET SoftPOS,” “TWIN Card,” and “5 Musts and 3 Must-nots for prevention of online credit card fraud.”
  • 2022-10-28NCCC’s NCCNET SoftPOS solution was compliant with the PCI CPoC standards and all requirements of the CPoC solutions planning guide conducted by UL Transaction Security PTY LTD, a CPoC lab accredited by PCI SSC.
  • 2022-10-21The “Credit Card Big Data Platform” of NCCC provided the industrial comparison and analytical reports related to card issuing, acquiring, consumption patterns, and fraud risks for 1st half of 2022.

  • 2022-10-06NCCC organized the credit card marketing event of “Zhongxiao Xinsheng Life Festival” on its Credit Card Purchase Transaction Benefit Platform, in collaboration with “Syntrend Creative Park” and 39 stores in the area to provide rewards for consumers with word puzzles on receipts. Through cross-sales, NCCC boosted consumption in certain business locations and increased the value of NCCC merchants.
  • 2022-09-20NCCC organized the “Rewards for Installment Transactions in Autumn” event on the Credit Card Purchase Transaction Benefit Platform, in collaboration with 10 domestic card issuers and 512 stores to offer accumulative cash rewards for installment transactions of credit cards.
  • 2022-09-16To celebrate NCCC’s 40th anniversary, NCCC compiled the “NCCC 40th Anniversary Memorial Publication,” which depicted NCCC’s long-time commitment to Taiwan’s payment card industry.
  • 2022-09-15To provide channels with differentiated services, NCCC partnered with JCB Taiwan and four domestically renowned hand-shaken drink franchises (including DaYung's Tea, Wanpo Tea Shop, TRUEDAN, and Flash Coffee) to hold the “JCB Life Rewards,” a marketing event that offered coupons for certain amount of card purchases on the Credit Card Purchase Transaction Benefit Platform, attracting participation of more than 350 stores across Taiwan. This raised the market recognition of the Small Ticket Platform for its acceptance of credit card payment, and increased customer willingness to pay using non-cash payment.
  • 2022-08-22Pursuant to an FSC requirement, “A credit card may not be used to pay transactions of virtual assets because of high speculation and risks,” and a project inspection performed by the Financial Examination Bureau of FSC, NCCC modified the “NCCC Payment Facilitator (PF) Participants Self-assessment Report (Questionnaire).”
  • 2022-08-21NCCC passed the annual data security certification of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

  • 2022-07-01As the “E-government Bill Payment Platform” of the National Development Council was about to terminate its operation by the end of March 2023, NCCC actively assisted central and local government agencies to collect payments on the “Credit Card Payment Platform for Public Agency Fee” instead and offered convenient payment service to the general public.
  • 2022-06-30“EMV 3DS-ACS Security Authentication Service Platform” of NCCC passed the audit conducted by Rock Pte.Ltd, a qualified assessment institution designated by the Payment Card Industry Security Standard Council (PCI SSC), regarding the compliance with PCI 3DS Security Regulations.
  • 2022-06-28To promote credit card big data applications and analytics, NCCC continued to publish case studies on its official website, e.g., “Are you still watching traditional TV programs in an era of rising video streaming?” in February, “Credit card transactions big data analytics for the sports and fitness industry” in April, and “Are you an outlet-holic?” in June.
  • 2022-06-21Mega International Commercial Bank participated in the “Üny Token Vault” system service of NCCC to support JCB Apple Pay transactions.
  • 2022-06-16NCCC assisted the Intellectual Property Office of MOEA in setting up an online credit card gateway for payment of administrative fees for the convenience of the general public.
  • 2022-06-16NCCC completed the development of a system wherein in-app mobile payment tools (e.g., Apple Pay, Google Pay) are accepted for installment payment, enabling merchants to provide installment transactions to cardholders through a swift swipe of a credit card at online and offline.

  • 2022-04-18By applying blockchain technology, NCCC developed a FIDO identity authentication system to replace NCCC’s original identity authentication mechanism which required staff to log in remotely or use the virtual desktop.
  • 2022-04-11To cope with the rampaging pandemic in Taiwan, NCCC launched a scheme whereby some employees were allowed to work from home, off-site, or on different floors.
  • 2022-03-31To cope with the development of the COVID-19 pandemic in Taiwan and mitigate the risk of disease contraction, Far Eastern SOGO Department Stores encouraged consumers to use non-cash payment tools and promoted APP payment through NCCC’s Credit Card Purchase Transaction Benefit Platform. Customers scanned the QR Code on the credit card receipts to download the app. After registration, they may access information on coupons, special offers in store, and zero-interest installment payment.
  • 2022-03-29NEXT BANK, a member of NCCC, officially launched for operations; it commenced the card issuing business of Visa Debit Card and joined the NCCC’s “EMV 3DS-ACS Security Authentication Service Platform.”
  • 2022-03-28NCCC organized the credit card marketing event of “E Sky fun for All” on its Credit Card Purchase Transaction Benefit Platform to matchmake 105 merchants in Kaohsiung for providing discounts. Such event encouraged local consumptions in support of the economic stimulus program promoted by the government.

  • 2022-02-25NCCC’s “EMV 3DS-ACS Security Authentication Service Platform”, which passed American Express’s test and certification in February, additionally supported American Express’s EMV 3DS-SafeKey mechanism and launched in March. 
  • 2022-01-26To increase the ratio of non-cash payment in Taiwan, NCCC has made its best endeavour Small Ticket Platform services to merchants. It signed a contract with COMEBUY, a hand-shaken drink chain, to deploy terminals at more than 160 COMEBUY stores.
