  • 2024-01-10“EMV 3DS Authentication Service Platform” of NCCC passed JCB’s EMV 3DS 2.2.0 certification
    in January, and was granted a compliance certificate.
  • 2024-01-17Yuanta Bank participated in “E-Invoice Credit Card Carrier Data” switching transactions.
  • 2024-01-25NCCC convened the 6th session of the 14th Board of Directors Meeting.
  • 2024-01-25NCCC revised the contents of the “Engagement Agreement” with its member institutions to
    improve the protection of rights and obligations.
  • 2024-03-13In accordance with the newly-revised credit card self-regulations of the Bankers Association of
    the Republic of China, NCCC revised the relevant merchant apps pursuant to the latest version
    of the regulations to implement consumer rights protection measures.
  • 2024-03-15NCCC’s SoftPOS Contactless Payment system passed the annual data security check
    certification of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
  • 2024-03-20NCCC held a bank briefing on “Introducing the Big Data Platform Fraud Detection Model into
    TRACE” to explain the current status and future plans of the TRACE system, recent card
    issuance fraud trends, and introduce the big data platform fraud detection model independently
    developed by NCCC. Card issuer members were invited to discuss the future development of
    the fraud detection system and exchange experiences.
  • 2024-03-25For the benefit of sustainable development of NCCC’s business, the purchase of land for the
    information center was completed.
  • 2024-04-17In response to the Taiwan Foundation for Disaster Relief and Hualien County
    Government’s“0403 Hualien Earthquake Donation” project, the “Auto-activated Mechanism to
    Waive Service Fees for Disaster Relief Donations” was launched.
  • 2024-04-18To reinforce the personal data management capacity and deepen customers’ trust, NCCC
    passed the annual review of BS10012: 2017 by BSI for 2024.
  • 2024-04-23NCCC was commissioned by the Directorate-General of Personnel Administration (DGPA)
    to handle the launch of the “Merchant Website Interface to Green Lifestyle Platform and
    Adjustment of National Travel Card Inquiry System Functions”.
  • 2024-04-24The “EMV 3DS-ACS Security Authentication Service Platform” of NCCC passed Mastercard’s
    EMV 3DS 2.2.0 certification in April, and was granted a compliance certificate.
  • 2024-04-25NCCC convened the 7th session of the 14th Board of Directors Meeting.
  • 2024-04-25NCCC integrated the mobile phone to build the “NCCNET SoftPOS Contactless Payment”
    solution and officially passed the PCI CPoC (Payment Card Industry-Contactless Payment
    on COTS) certification stipulated by the “Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard”
    (PCISSC).
  • 2024-04-26The “Credit Card Big Data Platform” of NCCC provided the industrial comparison and
    analytical report related to card issuing, acquiring, consumption pattern, and fraud risk from
    July to December 2023 to assist credit card institutions in understanding their positioning
    and differences with the overall market, and to serve as a reference for formulating business
    development strategies.
  • 2024-05-28NCCC represented Taiwan member institutions to attend the 2024 Asia Pacific Risk Executive
    Committee Meeting and Security Summit hosted by Visa in Thailand.
  • 2024-05-28To align with the Executive Yuan’s effort to revitalize Hualien County’s tourism and ease the
    regulations on the 2024 National Travel Card vacation subsidy for civil servants, NCCC was
    commissioned by the Executive Yuan's Directorate-General of Personnel Administration to
    handle the launch of the National Travel Card inquiry system’s additional functions.
  • 2024-06-14To enhance the security of online transactions, the “EMV 3DS-ACS Security Authentication
    Service Platform” added a “dynamic authentication code” function to enhance security strength.
  • 2024-06-18To promote the ubiquity of non-cash payments in non-six special municipalities and expand
    referral channels, NCCC held the “Briefing on Collaborative Promotion of Referral Operation”.
  • 2024-06-19KGI Bank’s Visa’s dual currency card was launched.
  • 2024-06-19Far Eastern Commercial Bank joined NCCC’s Mastercard in Control.
  • 2024-06-26The “EMV 3DS-ACS Security Authentication Service Platform” of NCCC passed the PCI 3DS
    compliance certification in June.
  • 2024-06-26In order to promote the application and analysis of credit card big data, NCCC continued
    to publish research results reports on the official website of NCCC. In May, “Consistent
    Record Breaking of Food Delivery Platform: Analysis of Shift in Consumption Patterns in the
    Development of the Billion-dollar Industry and Big-data Analysis of Credit Card Purchases on
    Food Delivery Platform Part III”, and in June, NCCC published “Top Spenders’ Consumption
    Behavior: What Do High-end Credit Card Consumers Buy?”
  • 2024-07-05NCCC resumed the physical meeting of the “Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard(PCI
    DSS) Standards Seminar” to enhance the understanding of PCI DSS standards and operational
    requirements by merchants and business-related personnel so as to facilitate work advancement.
  • 2024-07-10NCCC’s “NCCC e-Customer Service” App passed the “MAS L2” testing and obtained the “Mobile
    Application Basic Security Seal (MAS Seal)” in compliance with the “Regulations Governing the
    Provision of Mobile Applications by Financial Institutions”.
  • 2024-07-29NCCC convened the 8th session of the 14th Board of Directors Meeting.
  • 2024-07-29NCCC completed the “NCCC 2024 AML/CTF Risk Assessment Report” by following its “AML/
    CFT Risk Assessment Procedures and Methods”, the report was submitted to and approved
    by the 8th session of the 14th Board of Directors and Supervisors Joint Meeting, and filed with
    the competent authority for reference.
  • 2024-08-01Bank of Taiwan participated in NCCC’s “NCCC Tuition Connect Payment Platform”.
  • 2024-08-20In response to the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s policy to promote electronic medical
    record, NCCC combined the financial function of the “Credit Card Payment Platform for Public
    Agencies and Medical Institutions” to provide credit card payment services to users of the
    Electronic Medical Record Service Platform. Furthermore, in August, NCCC and Far Eastern
    Memorial Hospital jointly held a press conference on “e-Click Medical Record Application” to
    promote the services offered.
  • 2024-08-20NCCC was invited to the 2024 Visa Customer Risk Forum of Greater China held by Visa
    International to share risk and fraud trends.
  • 2024-08-21NCCC passed the annual data security certification of the Payment Card Industry Data Security
    Standard (PCI DSS).
  • 2024-08-23Peng Jin-Lung, Chairperson of the Financial Supervisory Commission, visited NCCC.
  • 2024-08-25In accordance with the Financial Supervisory Commission’s amendment to the “Regulations
    Governing Internal Operating Systems and Procedures for the Outsourcing of Financial
    Institution Operation” , NCCC completed the risk level assessment of all outsourced operations
    and the revision of outsourcing contracts by August 2024.
  • 2024-09-01NCCC collaborated with Teacher Chang Monthly in a welfare event to promote the dissemination
    of financial knowledge and fulfill social responsibility.
  • 2024-09-13To ensure the sustainable development, NCCC held an unveiling ceremony for its new Kaohsiung
    office building.
  • 2024-09-27NCCC held the “Credit Card Fraud Risk Prevention Seminar” to facilitate the exchange of risk
    prevention experiences.
  • 2024-10-01NCCC integrated a fraud detection model into the “Transaction Risk Alert and Control System
    (TRACE)”, and launched a risk rating mechanism in October to assist card issuers in using
    technology to prevent fraud. By quantifying risk scores, it helps risk managers quickly identify
    fraudulent transactions.
  • 2024-10-14NCCC participated in the 2024 cybersecurity audit conducted by the National Information and
    Communication Security Taskforce, and was rated as an excellent institution.
  • 2024-10-22The “Credit Card Big Data Platform” of NCCC provided the industrial comparison and analytical

    2024 to assist credit card institutions in understanding their positioning and differences with the
    overall market, and to serve as a reference for formulating business development strategies.
  • 2024-10-24NCCC convened the 9th session of the 14th Board of Directors Meeting.
  • 2024-11-02NCCC participated the 2024 FinTech Taipei exhibition, and display four major themes: “Üny Card
    Binding Services”, “Transaction Risk Alert and Control Enforcement system (TRACE)”, “Anti-Money
    Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT)”, and fraud reporting center.
    NCCC provided an introduction on how NCCC could help strengthen the anti-fraud features of the
    payment ecosystem, shared the machine learning model of artificial intelligence (AI) for the AML
    system, and worked with the Criminal Investigation Bureau in a public-private collaboration to
    promote fraud identification. NCCC was invited to attend “FinTech Taipei 2024,” of which, NCCC’s
    President took part in the opening ceremony and the international FinTech forum. The themes of
    NCCC’s exhibition stall included “NCCNET SoftPOS” ,“TWIN Card”, and “5 Musts and 3 Must-nots
    for prevention of online credit card fraud”.
  • 2024-11-04“EMV 3DS Authentication Service Platform” of NCCC passed Visa’s EMV 3DS 2.2.0 certification
    in November, and was granted a compliance certificate.
  • 2024-11-20NCCC participated in the symposium on “Promoting the Sound Operation of the Domestic
    Payment System” organized by the Department of Banking of Central Bank of the Republic of
    China (Taiwan) to share information on “NCCC’s role in the sustainable development of financial
    market infrastructure, the opportunities and challenges thereof, as well as the promotion efforts
    and future planning.”
  • 2024-11-22NCCC completed the review operation of ISO/IEC 27001:2013 (CNS27001) by the ISMS.
  • 2024-11-29NCCC convened the 167th meeting of the Research and Development Committee.
  • 2024-12-01To align with the government’s policy to strengthen the security of card binding, NCCC has
    established the “Merchant’s App Card-Binding Authentication Service” to assist acquiring institutions
    in providing their collaborative merchants with an authentication mechanism for credit card binding.
  • 2024-12-02The NCCNET SoftPOS Contactless Payment solution has expanded from the acceptance of
    the original two card types, i.e., Visa and Mastercard, to six card types, including JCB, American
    Express, UnionPay, Discover, and Diners Club International. The function upgrade has also
    been expanded to cover installment payment, bonus point redemption, and credit card purchase
    transaction benefit platform, among other value-added application transactions, allowing merchants
    to provide more comprehensive, friendly, and consumer-friendly contactless credit card services.
  • 2024-12-07Proactive in social welfare, NCCC participated in the “2024 Financial Services Charity Carnival”
    organized by the Taiwan Financial Services Roundtable. NCCC consistently organizes charity,
    public welfare, financial knowledge promotion and other social care activities.
  • 2024-12-10To promote the application and analysis of credit card big data, NCCC continued to publish research
    reports on its official website, e.g., “Easy Swipe in Hospitals and Clinics! Analysis of Credit Card
    Consumption in Hospitals and Clinics” was published in July, “Who Are the Major Taxpayers This
    Year? Analysis of 2024 Individual Income Tax Payer with Credit Card” in August, “An Analysis
    on Foreign Visitors’ Credit Card Spending in Taiwan Part II: Americans, Hong Kongers and
    Singaporeans as Main Spenders, and Growth of South Korean and Southeast Asian Spenders “in
    September, and “ ’His’ and ’Her’ Shopping Cart: Analysis of Credit Card Spending Differences by
    Gender” in December.
  • 2024-12-24NCCC cooperated with the Ministry of Digital Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, and the National Police
    Agency of the Ministry of the Interior to promote anti-fraud measures, publish anti-fraud promotional
    videos and teaching materials on the official website, and strengthen publicity to all sectors of
    society.
  • 2024-12-25In response to the FSC’s call to strengthen the fulfillment of corporate social responsibility and
    to encourage the financial industry to engage in social welfare, NCCC donated to the “2024
    Financial Services Education Welfare Fund” of the Taiwan Financial Services Roundtable, providing
    scholarships to students from economically disadvantaged and underprivileged families.
  • 2024-12-30In accordance with the resolution on “Strengthening Credit Card Authentication Mechanism and
    Consumer Rights Protection” passed in the meetings with the Banking Bureau on December 8th,
    2023, and the Bankers Association of the Republic of China on May 8th, 2024, NCCC completed
    the establishment of an electronic emergency reporting platform to enhance the efficiency and
    application of emergency reporting by various financial institutions for achieving the effect of realtime
    fraud prevention.
  • 2024-12-31Responding to the “coverage rate of 100% for financial knowledge promotion events by township/
    city/district in 2024” under the “Taiwan Financial Services Roundtable Phase VII Knowledge
    Popularization Promotional Program” , NCCC held financial knowledge promotional events in a total
    of 260 regions among 368 townships/cities/districts.
